I'm not very political. But a good laugh is always appreciated (political or otherwise). The brothers at JibJab.com have created quite a stir over their creation of "This Land." Pretty amusing. Only I couldn't get the song out of my head for a while. Don't you hate that?

More sleepless nights. No one cares. Lucky me, I work with people who think it's their duty to tell me how tired I look. And of course they have to ask "Why can't you sleep?" and add "I never have any problem sleeping." Well lucky you! (and go away!) Ugh. If I knew (for sure) why I couldn't sleep, it's very likely I would try and fix the situation so I could sleep. Do they really think I don't want to be able to sleep decently? Who wouldn't? It's amazing what we can still manage to accomplish while sleep deprived. But it's not smart, or safe, or healthy. (who says I'm any of that anyway?) But given the choice, of course I'd want to be able to sleep for a full night (several in a row would be great), or have a night where I don't toss and turn and wake up a million times. If only. In the meantime... *yawn*

What's normal? Normal is that horrible crashing, empty feeling that overwhelms, taking the place of something wonderful. Something wonderful that lasted a very short time. It always ends too soon. And then what was normal before, feels even worse afterwards. How could this hell have been normal? Such insanity.
